Past Recipients

The Paul Rickard Scholarship was established in 2006 for a SUNY Orange men’s basketball player only. After Paul’s death in 2017, the scholarship transitioned to the Paul Rickard Memorial Scholarship and a second scholarship was added for a SUNY Orange student studying Mathematics, Engineering or Physics. From this point moving forward, two scholarships will be awarded each year.

To support SUNY Orange during COVID, in addition to men’s basketball and the academic scholarship, the Paul Rickard Memorial Scholarship awarded a scholarship to one player on the Women’s basketball team, Softball team and Baseball team.
