On June 19, 2023, the scenic West Hills Country Club in Middletown, New York, played host to the annual Paul Rickard Memorial Scholarship Golf Outing—a day filled with friendly competition, camaraderie, and generosity. This beloved event brought together 144 golfers and an additional 19 dinner guests, all united in honoring the legacy of Paul Rickard to support SUNY Orange. The outing was a resounding triumph, raising an impressive $72,000 to support athletic and academic scholarships for deserving student-athletes at SUNY Orange. These funds will help talented young students pursue their academic and athletic dreams, continuing Paul Rickard’s lifelong commitment to education, mentorship, and the spirit of teamwork. From the shotgun start to the evening cocktail reception and dinner, participants enjoyed a perfect blend of sport and celebration. The scramble format, on-course contests, raffles, and silent auction added to the excitement, while the shared purpose—supporting the next generation of SUNY Orange Colts—made the day unforgettable.
The first place finish went to Vance Levin ’82, Jerry Levin ’91, Brian Yearwood ’83, and Kevin Hannon ’82, whose outstanding performance set the standard for the day.
